Secrets of Website PersuasionEuropeans soon to share David Kelly's book:“Secrets of Website Persuasion”European business people are about to be let in on the “Secrets of Website Persuasion” thanks to a deal that will see New Zealand businessman David Kelly’s book of that name distributed in Britain, mainland Europe and Scandinavia. Chief Executive of fast-growing website developers Zeald.com, David Kelly, published the book locally in October last year and has since sold or placed the book’s first print run of 1500 copies. Now it has been picked up by UK-based Crimson Publishing, a specialist in business books and the organisation behind the www.startups.co.uk ─ a major education and knowledge resource for small and medium-sized business operators and entrepreneurs. The book is designed to help unravel the mysteries of web marketing and to share the Zeald.com team’s expertise in designing websites that really deliver results. It reflects David Kelly’s passion for educating small and medium-sized businesses on how they should set up and manage their web sites. In addition to the book, he and his team have over the past three years addressed some 4500 people at the 107 free seminars that Zeald.com has run throughout New Zealand. Customer response to this approach over the past eight years led to Zeald.com being ranked the 19th fastest-growing company in New Zealand in last year’s Deloitte/ Unlimited Fast 50 awards. Now one of New Zealand’s largest web site development companies, Zeald.com has 31 operational staff and four staff dedicated to research and development at its Albany, Auckland, head office, as well as 22 specialised E-Business Consultants located throughout New Zealand. David Kelly says The Secrets of Website Persuasion is first of all a marketing book which tells those setting up a website how to determine what their market is, how to target their website at that market and how to define what they are wanting the site to deliver. “Most of all it tells people how to test, measure and tweak a site’s content so that it gets the results they are looking for. “The book is not to be confused with a DIY approach to websites. It has enough technical information for anyone working in the industry to not be bored, but it is written in the straightforward language that marketing managers and business owners can understand.” He says the messages and lessons in the book are international and should work in any market where people have access to the Internet. The reprint in the UK will feature a local cover, but the content will be unchanged. David says Zeald.com operates a “give to receive” marketing philosophy and as part of this has a huge array of valuable, educational resources available free, via its website (http://www.zeald.com), through seminars and also the media generally. He says The Secrets of Website Persuasion is an extension of this philosophy as an affordable must-read for those who want to create a new web site or make their existing one work more effectively. The deal with Crimson followed a meeting between its representatives and Maria Carlton the founder of the book’s publisher, Maruki Books, at a London Book Fair earlier this year. She will also be taking the book to the Frankfurt Book Fair next month, looking for similar publishing agreements for South Africa, Canada and the United States. |
